This software is TERRIBLE - I cannot move pictures into any semblance of order so bear with me. The turtle statue and the railing cut-out was at the bird landing area. GETTING LOST can be fun! Earlier this week I attempted to attend a lecture I thought was being held at the GTM Research Reserve (http://gtmnerr.org/) only to discover I went to the wrong location. While I discovered the lecture o n their website, it was actually being held in another location too far for me to get to on time from the Reserve. It was a little disappointing initially, but I recovered from that disappointment very quickly and watched an interesting video on the Reserve and local ecosystem, talked to staff about looking for work and/or volunteer opportunities and walked around the displays inside and the surrounding area. Weekday Lunch Hour & Evening Sights near my office... just keep scrolling down - not even bothering to attempt a decent layout. This and the similar picture below are one of three that I had taken/edited to have fun creating a different final image. The third didn't post here, but the sky was actually very red unlike the post below. That one was a one-click edit "I feel lucky" option on the photo edit software and the reduced red tone is what was created. This guy was actually a little bit away from work and he, along with his buddies, was actually all over a dumpster behind the local Starbucks.

A day at the Fort. This is out of order, but on one of my first days here we visited a huge fort. Very cool! Near the downtown area. The dolphins were an added plus. Not great pictures, but they were far away. Because it is such a nightmare to arrange - these pictures are not in any particular order. And, I think everywhere I go and take pictures, there will have to be the obligatory shot of a gecko!
